Unable to clone an account with an Exchange 2000 mailbox, after setting the 'Exchange 2000 Proxy Generation Rule'.
cause
The 'Exchange 2000 Proxy Generation Rule' causes the proxy address to be set before the mailbox is created. This causes Directory and Resource Administrator to not properly validate the creation of the account.

The 'Exchange 2000 Proxy Generation Rule' causes the proxy address to be set before the mailbox is created. This causes Directory and Resource Administrator to not properly validate the creation of the account.
fix
Directory and Resource Administrator and Exchange Administrator 6.50 Hotfix 14200
Hotfix 14200 ensures the Administration server successfully clones a user account with an Exchange 2000 mailbox. If you set proxy generation rules for Exhange 2000 mailbox management, apply this hotfix.
To install this hotfix, run the DRA65000_Hotfix14200.exe file on the Administration server computer.
This hotfix modifies the MCSUserOperations.dll file on the Administration server computer. By default, this file is located in the NetIQ\DRA folder of the Program Files folder.
Hotfix 14200 also includes the following files from Hotfixes 1976 and 12442:
- McsOperationsCommon.dll
- McsContactOperations.dll
- X2KHelper.dll
By default, these files are located in the NetIQ\DRA folder of the Program Files folder.
