The ?SNMP Support? status under the Details tab on the AM console shows Enabled.

symptom
Event: SNMP counter not found:  .1.3.6.1.4.1.1450.3.21.1.35.10818.10818; .1.3.6.1.4.1.1450.3.21.1.36.10818.10818

cause
SNMP was not configured at the Unix machine as documented in the Sun ONE Application Server Administration Guide.   In particular, the SNMP files in /usr/iplanet/ias6/ias/snmp were not updated.

fix
  1. Follow the instructions for SNMP configuration as documented in the Sun ONE Application Server Administration Guide.
  2. Completely restart the Sun ONE Application Server (including the KAS).
  3. Run the Discovery Knowledge Script again.
  4. Run the SNMP Knowledge Script again.
