Situation

How do I disable all of the rules in one Processing Rule Group?

Resolution

You can disable a processing rule group to temporarily stop processing rules from being evaluated on monitored computers. Child processing rule groups that are not individually associated with computer groups are also disabled. If child processing groups are individually associated with computer groups, they are not disabled.

To disable a processing rule group:

  1. Open the Security Manager Development Console.
  2. Expand Processing Rule Groups in the left pane.
  3. In the left pane, click the processing rule group that you want to disable.
  4. Click Action on the menu bar.
  5. Click Properties on the Action menu.
  6. Clear the Enabled check box.
  7. Click OK.

Cause

Sometimes you may need to disable all of the processing rules in a single processing rule group
