How do I use the Web Console 'STM' files?

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 6.x

fix

There are several STM files located in the  ...\Inetpub\wwwroot\DRAWeb\WebConsole\Templates folder (GroupPolicy.stm, ManagedDomains.stm, PasswordPolicy.stm, UserPolicy.stm).   Each of these files can be edited to display a message on related Web Console pages.

For example, if a group naming policy that requires all group names to follow the convention GROUP_groupname has been established, it might be helpful to display a message describing what the policy is whenever an administrator is on a group related page in the Web Console.  To do this you would edit the file GroupPolicy.stm and insert a HTML line of text that said something like:

Remember that all groups must be named GROUP_groupname

Whenever an Administrator is using the Web Console, any group task page will display this message. The other STM files can be modified to provide similar functionality on their related Web Console pages.

note

Although the term 'policy' is used in the name of the 'stm' files, this has nothing to do with Directory & Resource Administrator Policies or GPO's.  You can use this stm file functionality regardless of whether a Policy exists or is enabled/disabled.  In functionality, this is just a message display area.
