The MMC client can be configured to hide the Node AD and domain explorer(domain_name), as well as other nodes, by following this procedure:

 

  1. Launch the MMC client.
  2. Right-click the top of the tree and choose Properties.
  3. Click the Components tab.
  4. Check/Uncheck each node box as desired.
  5. Click Apply.

 

This console has now been modified to display only the nodes you have selected.  You can save this console look and distribute it to other administrators in your environment.  See the following knowledge base article for more information:
