Security Translation should be run on machines that contain resources the Target account needs access to; whether it be printers, files and folders, profiles or any other resource that is accessed through NTFS permissions.

To make the selection of machines that migrated accounts would need access to, run the Analyze feature included with Domain Migration Administrator.  For further explanation, please refer to the following knowledge base article:
