symptom
The Repository Administrator can connect to the Repository Database but all Repository task options are disabled.

symptom
Task options are unavailable in the GP Repository.

cause
The Repository server setup was carried out while logged on with a machine local account instead of as a domain account.

fix

Check if FA_Repository_Management (or alternate group name mentioned during Repository Server setup) has been created in Active Directory and has been provided security privileges for all Repository tasks.  The Repository server setup should be carried out with Domain accounts and not machine local accounts.  If the user logged on to the local machine during the repository server setup then FA_Repository_Management group might have been created as a local group instead of being a Domain local group created in Active Directory.

If Repository server setup was performed by logging on locally to Repository Server,you will have to reinstall the Repository server by using domain accounts that have necessary privileges.
