Resolution

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 6.x

symptom
In the Directory and Resource Administrator MMC, the timestamp under Synchronization status has not changed for several days.

cause
The synchronization timestamp only updates if there has been a change to the security model since the last scheduled synchronization or when a manual Multi-Master synchronization is completed.

fix

By default, the Multi-Master synchronization is scheduled for every four hours.  When a scheduled synchronization starts, it looks to see if any security model changes have taken place since the last scheduled synchronization.  If there have not been any security model changes, then synchronization does not take place and the timestamp is not updated.  An application log entry such as the one below is created on the Primary DRA server that states no changes have occurred since the last replication.
