symptom
Shortcuts and mapped drives are not available after translating user profile.
cause
Security has not been translated on the remote server that the shortcut or mapped drive points to.
fix
Security needs to be translated on the remote server that the mapped drive and/or shortcut points to. If access to the remote server was granted via a group then you must use the Translate Security Settings wizard and select the approprate group account and the remote server. If access is granted via a user, then you must use the Translate Security Settings wizard and select the appropriate user account and the remote server.
