XP security settings are not being displayed in the NetIQ Group Policy Administrator console.

Viewing the GPO in Native Tools, logged in as a Domain Admin user account, results in the following error message:

You do not have access to the GPO



symptom

When viewing a GPO setting report in NetIQ Group Policy Administrator console, the setting Network:Do Not Store Lan Manager Passwords is not displayed even though it was enabled.  This setting can be found in the following:

  1. Click  Computer|Windowssettings | Security Settings | Local policies 


cause

The above-described issue is caused if the GPO is corrupt.  



fix
In order to resolve this issue, the GPO in question must be deleted and recreated from a backup or manually.
