symptom
Error: 'Unable to add secondary. The primary server <servername> could not add the secondary server <servername>. Access account does not have powers.' Occurs when attempting to add a secondary server to the Multi-Master Set on the primary DRA server
cause
The problem occurs if the service account for the MCS OnePoint Administration Server service on the secondary DRA server is not the same as the service account on the primary.
fix
Hotfix 11017 allows you to specify different service accounts for the primary DRA server and secondary DRA server(s) in the same Multi-Master Set. If your environment includes a Multi-Master Set and you want to use a different service account for your secondary server, apply this Hotfix.
To install this Hotfix, run the DRA65000_Hotfix11017.exe file on the Administration server computer.
This Hotfix modifies the following file on the Administration server computer:
- EaObjProv.dll
By default, this file is located in the Program Files\NetIQ\DRA folder.
This issue is resolved in Directory and Resource Administrator 6.6.
