The Browse computer selection only shows one domain where Sever Consolidator is installed.

symptom
The Browse computer selection appears on the Select Computers screen of the Migrate Files, Folders, and Shares wizard.

cause

The drop-down list for domain selection will show all domains that trust the domain where Server Consolidator is installed. After you select a domain in the drop-down list, Server Consolidator presents a list of computers obtained from the SAM or Active Directory of that domain.  It does not use the browse list which is used by My Network Places. If trusting domains are not being shown, there may be a problem with the trust relationships.



fix
To resolve this issue:

  1. Verify and/or reset the trusts between the domain where the Server Consolidator console is and any other domains you need to select.
  2. Grant the logged on account Administrator permissions on the source and target computers.
