ERROR: Http: 401.2 'You are not authorized to view this page' when an Assistant Admin attempts to launch the web console

cause
Error code 401.2 means logon failed due to server configuration. Integrated Windows authentication does not work over HTTP proxy connections.  The DRA web console uses Integrated Windows Authentication. Internet Explorer must be configured to treat the URL as an internal address when using a proxy server.


fix

In order to resolve the above issue perform the following steps on the client machine on which the error occurs:

1. Launch IE.
2. From the Tools menu select Internet Options.
3. Select the Connections tab.
4. Click LAN Setting.
5. Ensure that Bypass proxy server for local address option is checked.
6. Click on Advanced.
7. Type in the name of the IIS server running under Exceptions | Do not user proxy servers for addresses beginning with;.
8. Click OK.
9. Click OK.
10. Click OK again to exit.

If there are several server or domain names specified, ensure that the IIS server the Assistant Admin is attempting to connect to is specified first in the list.
