Resolution

To resolve this issue verify that the AppManager agents that are been monitored by the AppManager Management server (MS) are available.

Users can check the connectivity of each agents by either using the "machine" command through netiqctrl which will list all the connectivity and other info for the agents that are monitored by the AppManager Management server or use an AppManager Knowledge Script (i.e. NT_ProcessDown or NT_ServiceDown to monitor netiqmc.exe and netiqccm.exe or the NT Services) to make sure agents are available.

To issue the netiqctrl command, please do the following from the Managment Server:

From a command prompt, type NetIQCTRL<ENTER> (Users should now be at a NETIQCTRL prompt (NETIQCTRL>)

Type the following command:

machine <host_name> NetIQms <mc_host> <ENTER>

where "host_name" is the management server name and "mc_host" is the agent name.

Cause

The unavailability of the AppManager Agent will cause this message to be written to the Event Application log.
