View the contents of a message library using the Import dll feature.

To view the contents of a message library in Security Manager versions 3.x and 4.x:

1. Right- click a Processing Rule Group in the 'Development Console' and select Import Dynamic Link Library.

2. Click Browse.

3. Verify that the right computer is selected in the 'Computer' field.

4. Expand the event log that the desired message library is registered to (logs to).

5. Locate the required .dll file.

6. Click OK.

To view the contents of a message library in Security Manager versions 5.x:

1. Log on to the Development Console.

2. In the left pane, select a Processing Rule Group.

3. Click Import Dynamic Link Library on the Action menu.

4. Click Browse on the File menu.

5. In the Server field, select the computer you want.

6. Expand the event log to which the desired message library logs.

7. Click the .dll file the contents of which you want to view.

8. Click Open.
