Error occurs when running EMCLI DIRSYNC.

symptom
Error: 'Invalid Argument'

cause
The error occurs because of incorrect syntax or when the character limit of the command line is exceeded. The command line interface has a 128 character limit imposed by the operating system.

fix
To resolve the issue, complete one of the following two steps:

  1. Correct the syntax. Information about the appropriate syntax is provided in the following knowledge base article:

  2. Shorten the command by specifying a root level OU versus an OU nested several levels deep.
