The Built-in Auditor role does not allow the Assistant Admin to se the Policy and automation management snap-in node.

symptom

An ActiveView configured to allow Assistant Admins to view the DRA environment configuration allows the Assistant Admin to see everything but the Policy and automation management snap-in node.  The Built-in Auditor role contains the following powers that pertain to this node:

• View an Operation Policy
• View an Operation Trigger
• View Exchange Proxy Format Strings
• View Policy Properties
• View Default Exchange Properties
• View Trigger Properties

cause

This situation is a result of an incorrect power check result being passed.  The DRA MMC interface looks for keys under Out.MmcNodes.Business Rules and Policy.  The following keys are all false for this admin:

• Automation
• ExchangePolicy
• HomeDirectory
• PasswordRules
• Policy

This issue is resolved in Directory and Resource Administrator 6.6 and later.
