Computer does not change domains.

symptom
Computer migration says "Completed with Errors."

symptom
DCTLog.txt says the agent cannot join a domain and rename the computer at the same time but no options were selected to rename the computer.

cause
If the none of the options to rename a computer account based on conflicts or by adding a prefix are set, then Domain Migration Administrator may be getting the rename request from Database Modeling.

fix

Ensure that the 'Migrate data using modeling database as source?' option in the Data Source section of the Migrate Computers wizard is not checked. This will prevent the use of Database Modeling without removing the accounts from the Modeling table.

If Windows 2000 machines need to be renamed and migrated, then this must be done in separate steps. A Rename Workstation wizard is available in the global wizard section.
