fix

Domain Migration Administrator uses the environment variables for the TMP or TEMP folder on the remote machine, to install the DCTLOG.txt file. Refer to the following unsupported workaround to change the path where DMA creates and stores the DCTLOG.txt file during migration.

To change through the Environment Variable settings:

 1. Right click My Computer.
 2. Select Properties.
 3. Click Advanced.
 4. Select Environment Variables.

As an alternative you can do a registry edit for the value. To temporarily change and\or add the TEMP or TMP values in the HKLM\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Session Manager\\Environment registry key to change where the DCTLOG file is placed based on the Temp folder. This registry change would be implemented on each agent machine.

note
WARNING: Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. NetIQ cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved.
Make sure that you backup your Registry prior to making any changes.
