Resolution
Cannot find the file 'D:\tem\Intel\DMA.exe' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.
symptom
After running the downloaded executable NETIQDMAInstallationKit.exe, and creating the installation kit in a directory called d:\tem, the window stating 'Installation Kit is Installed' is received. This screen has two buttons: 'Launch Autorun' and 'Begin Setup'. If you click 'Begin Setup', the following message is returned:
Cannot find the file 'D:\tem\Intel\DMA.exe' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.
If you click OK, the following message is returned:
Could not execute the external program D:\tem\Intel\DMA.exe.
If, however, on the Installation Kit is Installed window, select Launch Autorun, then the setup begins correctly.
fix
The workaround for this issue is to rename the setup.exe file in the Intel directory to dma.exe.
note
This issue has been corrected in DMA 7.1.
