Resolution

goal
What table in the Domain Migration Administrator database (Protar.mdb) contains the account mappings?

goal
Where can I find the migrated account mappings in the Domain Migration Administrator (DMA) database?

fact
Domain Migration Administrator 6.x

fact
Domain Migration Administrator 7.x

fix

All migrated account mappings are stored in the MigratedObjects table of the Protar.mdb database (located in C:\Program Files\NetIQ\DMA\).  No account mappings are stored in the individual project databases. The MigratedObjects object in the project database is a shortcut link to the actual MigratedObjects table in the Protar.mdb database.

note
Note:  If accounts are moved or renamed after migration, the MigratedObjects table will need to be updated by running the Refresh Migrated Objects report.  If the table does not get updated, this could result in failed security translations and/or failed group membership updates.

note
Note:  To maintain information regarding your migrated accounts, make sure you keep a backup copy of the Protar.mdb file.
