NetIQ AppManager 6.x
NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x

Situation

Discovery_SQL Knowledge Script errors with 'Not SQL Server or SQL/MO not installed'
Discovery_SQL Knowledge Script errors with 'File name or class name not found during OLE Automation operation'
SQL Managed object is not discovered in Operator Console

Resolution

To correct this issue, please complete the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the Microsoft SQL Module for AppManager
  2. Re-install the NetIQ AppManager SQL Server module.
  3. Run the Discovery_SQL Knowledge Script, if needed.

Cause

The Microsoft SQL Server module is not installed on the agent, or the module did not install correctly.
