fix

Although this is not a supported function of DMA, you may use the following workaround to migrate local user accounts.

  1. Join the stand alone server as a member of the target domain (preferred) or a member of a trusted domain.
  2. Migrate users and groups from the local SAM of the member server to the domain.  When specifying the source domain in the user migration wizard, specify the name of the source member server in the format \\servername.  Follow the rest of the wizard as normal.

This workaround has not been verified by QE, but NetIQ Technical Support and several customers have found the workaround to be valid.
