Environment

NetIQ Directory & Resource Administrator 8.x

Resolution

The following steps must be performed to prevent Directory and Resource Administrator from performing an Accounts Cache Refresh for a trusted domain:

Directory and Resource Administrator 8.x

  1. Launch the Delegation and Configuration Management console logged in as an Assistant Admin with DRA Admin role.
  2. Select Managed Domains under the Configuration Management node.
  3. Highlight the managed domain.
  4. Select the trusted domain from the list displayed in the bottom screen under Trusted domain tab.
  5. Right-click and select Properties.
  6. Select the General tab in the Properties dialog box.
  7. Check the Ignore this trusted domain option.
  8. Click OK.

Cause

The default behavior of DRA is to cache the managed domain AND all trusted domains of that domain.

Additional Information

If a trusted domain has been omitted from the Accounts Cache Refresh, DRA will not enumerate the users and global groups in that domain.
