How do I create Custom Views in the Directory and Resource Administrator MMC user interface? (NETIQKB6100)

The Directory and Resource Administrator MMC client allows Assistant Admins to create Custom Views. This option is available to all Assistant Admins by default and is a client-side setting that each Assistant Admin can configure.

The following steps can be used to create custom views in the MMC user interface for DRA: 

1. Launch the Directory and Resource Administrator MMC interface.
2. Select the Directory and Resource Administrator snap-in node and select Properties from the Action drop-down menu.
3.  Select the Components tab.
4.  Select the Custom Views checkbox.
5.  Click OK.
6.  Select the Custom Views snap-in component. 
7. Select the view pertaining to the desired object class from the New submenu under the Action drop-down menu.
8.  Enter a name for the new view (the Description and Comment fields are optional).
9.   Click Finish.
10.   Select the new view.
11. Select the type of view from the New submenu under the Action drop-down menu.
12.   Select the desired criteria to.
    define the objects to be displayed, clicking the Next button for each selection.
13.   Click Finish.
