To upgrade the license for NetIQ Group Policy Administrator (GPA) 2.0 and 3.0:

  1. Launch the NetIQ Group Policy Administrator Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in.
  2. Right-click the Administrator node. 
  3. Select the Show License Information option.
  4. In the License window, select the Install New License option.
  5. Browse to and select the new license key.
  6. Click Open.
  7. Read and Accept the License Agreement.
  8. Click Close.

To upgrade the license for NetIQ Group Policy Administrator (GPA) 4.x and 5.0:

  1. Launch the GPA Console.
  2. Under the GP Explorer node, expand your Forest and select a managed domain.
  3. Right-click the domain and select Show License.
  4. In the License window, select the Install New License option.
  5. Browse to and select the new license key.
  6. Click Open.
  7. Read and Accept the License Agreement.
  8. Click Close
