fix

When upgrading a Multi-Master Set to the latest version, upgrade the primary Administration server computer first and then all secondary servers.  It is recommended to stop the MCS OnePoint Administration service (for DRA 6.x versions) /NetIQ Administration service (for DRA 7.x versions) and the IIS Admin Service prior to the upgrade. If the Web Component is installed on additional IIS servers, upgrade those installations as well.

Note: During the installation process select the Upgrade files only option.  For more information on this option refer to the following Knowledge Base article:

  • NETIQKB6132 - What is the difference between Upgrade files only versus Upgrade files and configuration during the upgrade?

Also, please refer to the Release Notes for more information.

note

Before running the upgrade, it is recommended to backup the Security key in the registry of the Primary DRA server.  This key is located at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | Mission Critical Software | OnePoint | Administration | Data | Modules | Security
