DMA 7.0 and later supports the migration of Windows XP workstations.

note

There is one known issue where security is not translated on the user's profile when migrating Windows XP computers.  An error may be received stating that the ntuser.dat file is being used by another process. This may be caused by the XP operating system retaining a lock on the user profile even after the user has logged off. The workaround is to have the user log off the XP workstation, restart the XP workstation, and then perform the computer migration and translation of security.
