Environment

NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x
NetIQ AppManager 8.x
NetIQ AppManager 9.1

Situation

All Action jobs are updated when the matching base Action KS is modified and saved.
Changing the properties for an action knowledge script causes all the jobs using this action knowledge scripts to take on the new properties.

Resolution

The workaround for this is to create a copy of the default action knowledge script and modify the properties and assign the copy(s) to the jobs that will need the different properties.

For example:

If there are four different sets of properties that you want to use, depending on the job and potential event recipients, you would need to create four different copies of the default Action knowledge script, applying unique "default" values in the Properties of each copy, and then assign the appropriate copied Action script to jobs or Monitoring Policies according to their respective needs.

Cause

This behavior is by design.
