Migrated Distribution Lists are not updated with custom recipients that were created by the 'Simple Sync' program.
cause
Custom Recipients were populated in the target Exchange 5.5 Organization with Simple Sync; therefore, no mapping was created in the Exchange Migrator database. Without a mapping, Exchange Migrator does not know which mailboxes belong to the Distrbution List.
fix
To correct for this issue, use EMCLI DIRSYNC to populate the target GAL. This process creates a mapping in the EMA database so when you migrate the Distribution Lists (DL), the target DL will be populated with the Custom Recipients (CR) that are members. Later, when you migrate your mailboxes the target mailbox will replace the target CR.
