Directory and Resource Administrator 6.40

symptom
During a custom install of Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) 6.40, Exchange support is grayed out.

cause
This issue is caused by the fact that Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000 support is not available during a custom install of DRA 6.40.

fix
Complete the following steps as a possible workaround:

  1. Complete the custom install.
  2. After the installation is complete, restart the install and select Add/Remove.
  3. Select Full and you will then be given the opportunity to enable Exchange support.

Additionally, one customer reported that after doing the reinstall, he still had to restart the DRA server service in order for the Exchange policy node to be available.
