Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.x
NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x
NetIQ AppManager Chart Console
NetIQ AppManager Report Agent

Situation

How do I get reports/charts to include the process names that correspond to a data point?
How do I get reports/charts to include the process names that correspond to a data point when using knowledge scripts such as NT_TopMemoryProcs?

Resolution

The option of viewing the processes within a report is not available with this version of AppManager.  The only way to view the process names of each data point is by using the Graph Data pane within the AppManager Operator Console (which can also be exported to a different application such as Microsoft Excel); reports currently do not display these details.

To export graph data:

  1. Open AppManager Operator Console.
  2. In the List Pane, select Graph Data.
  3. Select the appropriate Graph Data Stream.
  4. Drag and drop the Graph Data Stream to the Graph Pane.
  5. In the Create Graph window, make the necessary adjustments.
  6. Click OK. This will create a graph.
  7. Right-click on the graph and selectExport Graph.
  8. In the File Name field, type a name for the exported data.
  9. Select the appropriate file type: ChartFX (.chf) or Comma Delimited (.csv).
  10. Click Save.

NOTE: The ChartFX file may be viewed by the AppManager Console; the Comma Delimited file may be easily displayed and manipulated within an application such as Microsoft Excel.
