symptom
The DRA Administration server service crashes when managing computer accounts.

cause
This problem can occur if an existing account has been deleted in a third-party application or native tools and then recreated in DRA without performing an Accounts Cache Refresh.

fix

Hotfix 004435 ensures that the Administration server does not attempt to create computer or group accounts that have the same samAccountName as other objects already in the cache. If the Administration server service stops unexpectedly when you attempt to create a computer or group account, apply this hotfix.

Hotfix 004435 also ensures that the Administration server correctly updates Exchange properties for a user account. If you manage Exchange mailboxes, apply this hotfix.

To install this hotfix, run the DRA64000_Hotfix004435.exe file on the Administration server computer. This hotfix modifies the following files on the Administration server computer:

  •  Accounts.dll
  •  McsUserOperations.dll
  •  McsGroupOperations.dll

By default, these file are located in the NetIQ\DRA folder of the Program Files folder.
