One method to migrate from numerous NT domains to two or more Active Directory domains without buying more hardware would be to perform an in place Windows 2000 upgrade on the first NT 4.0 domain creating the root Active Directory domain. You can then use Domain Migration Administrator to migrate the users, groups, and computers from the other NT 4.0 domains to the new Windows 2000 domain(s). We recommend that you plan your target domain structure and test your plan before performing the actual migration.
