Situation
How do I manually uninstall the AppManager Agent component?
Resolution
The following steps apply only to AppManager 6.x Windows Agents.
To manually uninstall a complete or partial install of the AppManager Managed Client component:
- Remove all NetIQ related files and folders under the install path.
- Remove all NetIQ related Registry keys:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NetIQ\AppManager
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetIQccm
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetIQmc
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ {5B478A76-6432-4296-9668-50FF58CA343B}
- Remove any nqexecd processes from Task Manager.
- Remove any AgtInst folders from the Temp directory.
