Error: 'There is no such object on the server' When Viewing ActiveView Rule Properties
symptom
Attempting to view the properties of an ActiveView rule generates the above error message.
cause
An ActiveView name with a special character in it will cause this error message.
fix
Directory and Resource Administrator 6.50 resolves this issue. If version 6.40 or earlier is installed, perform the following steps to resolve this issue:
Launch Regedit.
Navigate to the ActiveView key under HKLM\Software\Mission Critical Software\OnePoint\Administration\Data\Modules\Security\ActiveView.
Select the key matching the name of the ActiveView with the special character.
Select Rename from the Edit drop-down menu.
Rename the ActiveView, removing the any special characters in the ActiveView name.
Close Regedit.
Stop and then restart the MCS OnePoint Administration service on the Directory and Resource Administrator server.
