Situation

What is the difference between the BaseOutputPath and URLMapping Registry values?

Resolution

The URLMapping value is only used for the link created in the Event message when an Event is generated by a Report knowledge script. This does not specify the location of Reports on the Report Agent.

Full Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NetIQ\Common\AMREPORTS


The BaseOutputPath value is the actual physical location of the Report files for the Report Agent. The specified path can be either local to the Report Agent or can be a shared directory on a different Server.
