Why do I only see a white screen after logging into my Operator Console? (NETIQKB2857)

Environment

NetIQ AppManager Operator Console
NetIQ AppManger 7.0.x

Situation

Why do I only see a white screen after logging into my Operator Console?
Operator Console not refreshing

Resolution

As a work-around:

  1. Exit AppManager Operator Console, if applicable.
  2. Launch a command prompt.
  3. Type and execute the following statement:
    netiq /showall

The /showall parameter overrides the parameters in the list and selects all of the console layout options in the Console tab of the Operator Console's Preferences dialog box.

Cause

The views are turned off. This can be verified by viewing the contents of the rplib.log located in the %\NetIQ\Temp\NetIQ_Debug\ServerName directory on the AppManager Operator Console:
