Situation

Exchange Knowledge Scripts fails with OLE Automation Server can't create object

Resolution

Take the following steps to resolve this error message:

  1. Verify that the Exchange Managed Object (MO) was installed. Look for the qexcha4.dll in the NetIQ\Bin directory on the Managed Client.
  2. Verify that the Managed Object is registered by looking for the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NetIQ\4.0\AppManager\Qexcha4.dll

Once steps 1 & 2 have been verified, then re-run the Discovery_Exchange Knowledge Script (KS) on the Exchange server in question, then try running other Exchange Knowledge Scripts.
