Environment

NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x

Situation

AMAdmin Knowledge Scripts are not displayed in the Operator Console for certain users.
Some scripts from the AMAdmin tab as well as some other tabs may not be displayed for certain users.

Resolution

Ensure the AppManager Administrator login accounts are in the Admin Users group in SQL.

To grant a user access to these scripts you must grant them full AppManager Administrator rights either through the Security Manager utility or by granting them System Administrator privileges through SQL.

Cause

Some Knowledge Scripts contain an Administrator Only setting where only full AppManager Administrators can see or use these scripts.  If a user is not a full AppManager Administrator as configured through the Security Manager utility then those users will never see those scripts.

Additional Information

Formerly known as NETIQKB2767

This behavior is by design so that non-administrative users cannot have access to some AppManager Administrative knowledge scripts.
