Situation

Do I have to install an AppManager Report Agent on every managed client I want to report on?

Resolution

You do not need to install the Report Agent on every AppManager managed client. The Report Agent only has to be installed on one managed client from which you will run all report scripts.

You can install the Report Agents on multiple managed clients if you want to run report scripts on different servers.

All reports will be saved on the AppManager Report Agent. To properly create reports, you will need to run the following steps:

  1. Install an AppManager Agent enabling the Reporting Agent.
  2. Run Discovery_ReportAgent on the agent you enabled the the Reporting Agent.
  3. Run at least one Report Knowledge Script on the Reporting Agent.
    • A default.htm file will be created in the following directory of the Reporting Agent: .\Program Files\NetIQ\AppManager\Web\Report\
