What is the information flow when running a script or SNMP trap response locally on an agent? (NETIQKB2182)

Resolution

fix
If the response (script or SNMP trap) is set to run locally on the agent machine, the agent reads the event from the event log, matches the event to the alert rule, and runs the defined response before sending the event to the consolidator for insertion in the database. No information is passed between the consolidator and the agent before the response is run.
