Group Policy Object Settings Are Not Applied to a User in the Domain

symptom
After assigning a user in the domain to receive specific Group Policy Object (GPO) settings, the GPO settings are not applied to the user.

fix
In order to resolve this issue please verify that the following conditions are met:

  1. The user must be a member of the OU where the GPO is located.
  2. For the GPO permissions Apply Group policy, verify the user does not have Deny.
  3. The user must not be a member of any group that has permissions type Deny for Apply Group policy for that GPO.
