Resolution

goal
Which dynamic link library (DLL) files are installed to remote agents and to which locations are these files installed?

fix
To understand which files are installed during a remote agent installation, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the following location on the Consolidator:

%installdrive% \ Program Files \ MCS OnePoint \ OnePoint \ InstallService

Open the InstallService.ini file in Notepad.

This file can have four sections called vars, files, registry, and services. Using the InstallService.ini, you can define variables, registry settings, and service installation configuration information.

The [files] section outlines the common and Operations Manager and Security Manager-specific DLLs that can be installed based on the various versions of the Windows NT and Windows 2000 operating systems an agent might be using.

NetIQ Operations products will add DLLs that are not present and replace earlier versions of DLLs. NetIQ Operations products do not replace later versions of DLLs.
