Why do I receive duplicate responses for a particular alert?

Duplicate responses can be generated for a single alert if any of the following conditions exist:

  • An alert processing rule is configured to trigger a response to an event or performance processing rule that is also configured to trigger a response.
  • A duplicate or similar processing rule exists in another processing rule group.
  • An alert processing rule doesn't use the criteria Only match alerts generated by rules in the following group. This type of alert processing rule will alert for any processing rule in any processing rule group.
