Situation

How do I Create an ActiveView for User Management in Directory and Resource Administrator?

Resolution

The following is a step by step process for creating an ActiveView for User Management.
Launch the DRA Delegation and Configuration Console as Assistant Admin with, at minimum, Built-in Security Role ActiveView Creation.
Next be sure the console is connected to the Primary DRA Server. interface while logged on as an Assistant Admin with, at minimum, Built-in Security Role.

Expand Directory and Resource Administration

Expand Delegation Management

Right Click ActiveView

Choose New Active View

From the Create ActiveView Wizard, click Next to move from the Welcome Screen to the Rules Screen

Click the Add button to add the Object(s) to be managed by this active view -- These are the location of the target objects to be managed by the set of assistant admins added to the active view.

Additonaly the Options button can be used to further narrow the scope of the objects selected.

Once the objects have been selected and any options set, click Next to move on to the General Screen

Once on the General Screen assign the Name properties to the Active View

Click next to see a Summary of the settings for the Active View

Place a Check box in the "I want to delegate power over this active view after I finish this wizard" to start the Assistant Admins Roles & Powers wizard.

Click Finish to finalize the creation of the Active View.

Cause

Active views provide control over where Assitant Admins can do specfic actions to objects within AD via DRA.
