Resolution

cause
This can be caused by a couple of different factors that both center around a similar source. After the agent is dispatched successfully to the remote computer, it will report back to the DMA console once it has finished its task. You can look in the DCTLog.txt located in either the C:\Temp or C:\Winnt\Temp directory on the remote computer, for more information on what the agent did. In the log, you will see one of two possible error messages, Failed to write output file \\DMAComputerName\OnePointDMR$\PC4190017500.result, hr=80070035 The network path was not found Failed to write output file \\DMAComputerName\OnePointDMR$\PC4190017500.result, RC=5 Access is Denied

fix
If you received the error 'network path was not found', then verify that you can contact the DMA computer from the remote workstation. Check WINS and DNS resolution. If you received the error 'Access is denied', the account you specified in the 'Agent Credentials Screen' does not have access on the DMA Console Computer. The recommended practice is to specify the same account you are logged in with as it will have Local Administrator permissions on the remote computer, as well as Local Administrator permissions on the DMA computer.
