symptom
Directory and Resource Administrator Server Service Terminates Unexpectedly When Enumerating an Object List in the MMC Interface

symptom
The MCS OnePoint Administration Server service terminates unexpectedly at irregular intervals. The application trace file references no specific file or process as the cause and the Application event log does not register any new entries. The System event log contains the following event:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Service Control Manager
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 7031
    Date: 1/7/2002
    Time: 8:30:51 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: dra_server_name
Description: The MCS OnePoint Administration Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.

cause
This issue will occur when Assistant Admins enumerate an ActiveView that has 21 or more Include rules or in the All my managed objects snap-in node if total number of include rules in all ActiveViews. Note that number of Exclude rules does not count and the Include rules have to be distinct. Two rules for the same object are considered the same and only count as one rule.
