Error: 'Error changing the property LoginWorkstations.'
symptom
When attempting to change the workstation logon rights for a user account in a Windows 2000 domain, the Administration server rejects the request and returns the following error message:
Error changing the property 'LoginWorkstations'.
fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 6.30 SP1
cause
The above error message is more likely to occur if the user account is currently allowed to log on to a set of workstations and an attempt is made to perform one of the following tasks:
Remove all workstation logon rights for that user account.
Allow the user account to log on to all workstations.
fix
The above described issue was addressed with the release of Hotfix Q11987a for Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) 6.30 SP1 and is included in all subsequent releases.
