When installing the MMC, you may get 'Setup cannot locate a Data Access Server (DAS)' or 'Setup cannot retrieve license information from the database' errors

symptom
Following are the different errors that are related to this problem:
Error: '- 2147220978 Setup cannot locate a Data Access Server (DAS)' OR
Error: '- 2147024891 Setup cannot retrieve license information from the database'


cause
Your account does not have the required permission to the install Onepoint MMC interface on the DAS (Data Access Server) server.


fix
Make sure that your account has been added to the OnePointOp ConfgAdms group on the DAS server and cycle the DAS server.
